Prospect Counselling was founded by Glyn and Debbie Jones to bring together their combined experience of over 30 years working in the field of parent education, family support, social work & counselling with individuals, couples, parents, adolescents and children.

Having been married for 33 years and having raised four children, two sons and two daughters, they know first hand the challenges and joys involved in the ages and stages of couple and family life. This includes all that’s involved in caring for someone with mental health challenges and chronic illness, and also supporting children with school related challenges due to ADHD and specific learning difficulties/dyslexia.


About Glyn

Glyn, a Social Worker, has extensive experience as a parent educator, and with providing counselling for parents and their children with specific learning difficulties/dyslexia. He has developed several programs for teachers and parents, including the award winning ‘More than Mainstream’ at Anglicare ,Victoria.

About Debbie

Debbie is a registered and qualified Counsellor and Community Worker with over 15 years experience as a counsellor, supporting families, couples and individuals who have gone through, or are going through, difficult times and challenges. Debbie has won several awards for her community work supporting individuals and families in crisis in the Shire of Yarra Ranges. She predominately works from a solution focused and narrative therapeutic model as a private practitioner with couples, individuals and families. She also incorporates a mind-body medicine perspective that helps promote healing for those suffering from mental health or chronic illness.
